More than letters

Nowadays typography has a more significant value, typography has the power to transmit or highlight the messenger we want to communicate. Today we have millions of different models to choose from.

Now we will see some examples of typography and the impacts that styles have by implementing them in different situations.

VOGUE Magazine

Here we can see the famous Vogue magazine using combinations of serif, cursive, and minimalist sans serif styles. This makes the cover design look more balanced and elegant without being boring.

DARK MATTER Novel

Another particular example is the cover of Dark Matter, written by Blake Crouch, a novel aimed at the thriller, suspense and science fiction genre. If we think about it the book did not need any specific graphic image to convey the genre to which is directed, because the typography shows a modern style with a particular movement.

Barbie campaign

I find this example interesting how each word is important and has great value, highlighting “YOU CAN BE” and “ANYTHING” was important to convey the message that the Barbie brand wanted to convey, and the typography helps to mark the importance of each word in the sentence without being overloaded and also without the brand losing importance.

Library flier

The design of this library is quite interesting, as it has a fun touch that give you a fun entertaining emotion for the public. It perfectly highlight important data and has good balance and order.

ELEMENTAL movie

Elemental’s typography is very pretty, the colors go hand in hand with the topic of the film which is the elements; however the colors work much better on its black background than in other images of the film, as it gets lost with the other colors.
