Not even in my craziest dreams and thoughts I imagine I would be living in Canada at this point of my life. But you know, sometimes life gives you chances to live your dreams and attach your goals in the craziest way and you only have to take them.
Hello everyone, my name is Karen. I am from Bogota, Colombia. I am an Industrial Designer, Dancer, and Bookbinder (I have a bookbinding project called Librekas). I enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures. That is one of the principal reasons I am here in Vancouver. I think this background helps me in the creative process at Librekas.

I decided to study this program at this university because as an industrial designer I felt that I lacked information about graphic design and web development and nowadays as a designer you have to face different types of projects that require new skills that make you able to work and explore new areas.
WHAT ARE MY CIRA GOALS?
- Improve my knowledge and abilities on media design and web development
- Have the chance to have new friends.
- Face new challenges and experiences as a student again in Canada.
Where do I plan to work?
- In a design company or a product company where design is in products, marketing and value. There are some of them like Lululemon or Lush.
- In a company where I can learn and grow as a designer.
