My name is Juan Felipe Tobón Pérez, and I am originally from the city of Medellín in the department of Antioquia, Colombia. I am a Business Administrator and a Professional in International Trade. However, despite my corporate and administrative background, my skills and the roles I have undertaken have always led me down the creative and technological path, specifically in design, marketing, User experience and analytics.
The most important thing
My family consists of my younger brother, my mom, my dad, and my two dogs; they live on the outskirts of Medellín in a town called El Retiro. They are my strenght and my motivation to always keep going and be better every single day.
What I love to do
I have a deep passion for sports, whether they are team-based or individual pursuits. I thoroughly enjoy keeping up with international events like the World Cup and the Olympics, in addition to following various sports teams, particularly those in the United States and Europe. The sports environment and culture fascinate me, and this passion has not only taught me valuable life lessons but has also helped me develop numerous skills that have proven beneficial in both my professional and personal life.
From a young age, my parents motivated me to enroll in classes covering a wide range of subjects, with a particular focus on languages and sports. Consequently, my affection for both interests grew, and they became integral components of my personality.

I’m a highly passionate individual who takes great joy in dedicating substantial time and affection to everything I undertake and to the people dearest to me.
This commitment has allowed me to accomplish the goals I’ve set for myself. One of my profound passions lies in nature and engaging in various outdoor activities. Consequently, over the past two summers, I had the privilege of residing in one of the world’s most stunning locations and working for a renowned organization—the YMCA of Northern Utah. In this role, I served as the Assistant Director and Kitchen Manager at the YMCA Mill Hollow summer camp. During my time there, I forged friendships with people from around the globe, and together, we crafted unforgettable summer experiences for numerous children who journeyed to the breathtaking Uinta Mountains in Utah.
In the course of my life, I’ve crossed paths with numerous individuals. I’ve had friends with whom I’ve cherished unforgettable moments, even if we’ve drifted apart over the years. I’ve also formed bonds with friends who are like family to me. What’s more, I can unequivocally declare that I’ve met the woman I wish to spend the rest of my life with. She constantly fills me with pride and joy. I eagerly anticipate her joining me in this splendid city soon.

My aspirations.
Upon my arrival at CIRA and getting acquainted with a few of my peers, as well as witnessing the incredible art they produce, it has become clear to me that there is still a lot for me to learn. I am filled with enthusiasm about the prospect of watching them continue to flourish, witnessing the evolution of their art, gaining knowledge from them, and experiencing personal growth as an artist in the process.
This was a glimpse into my life. While I’m still in the process of uncovering my true self and purpose in this world, I’ve made it a point to cherish every moment along the way. I plan to keep enjoying the wonders of the world, the beauty of art, the magic of music, the breathtaking landscapes, and the people I have yet to meet.
